Seven Sisters Team
Meet the Management and Team Members of Seven Sisters Brewery!
Owner/ Chief Executive Officer
Seven Sisters owner David Clark is a native of Wytheville. After graduating from George Wythe High School, David received a B.S. in business with a specialty in finance from Virginia Commonwealth University.
After graduation, David worked with investment firm Dorsey, Wright & Associates in Richmond for four years. While he loved his work, his heart was always in Wytheville.
“My dream was to come back to Wytheville and start my own business,” he said. “I have always enjoyed exploring the local breweries in the areas where I’ve lived and traveled, plus, I’ve always aspired to have my own place. So, when you combine that with my love of craft beer and the love I have for my hometown, you get Seven Sisters.”
David also wanted to help make a difference in Wytheville.
“I want to help my community,” he said, “and I want to help make an economic impact here. I also really want to showcase Southwest Virginia and let the world know not only that we’re here but that we’re a pretty special place.”
Joe has been brewing for more than 20 years and has occupied head brewer positions at Red Rock Winery & Brewery (California), Black Forest Brew Haus (New York), and Greenport Harbor Brewing Company (New York).
Joe received his B.S. in Food Science Microbiology from the University of California at Davis.
Although originally from California, Joe immediately fell in love with Southwest Virginia and specifically Wytheville's charm. "Wytheville is a special place and the scenery is unbelievable," he said.
Joe loves to brew traditional German and Belgian style beers, but also enjoys testing new recipients. Even if you're new to craft beer Joe is likely to have something on tap or in-mind for you to try.
